Have you ever get tired of listening to kpop? If you have, then let's go k-indie! HAHA! I've been spending my time searching for the some good k-indie bands. There are lots of k-indie bands/artists that worth listen to. It's a sad situation when these such great bands didn't get as much of recognition and attention as the kpop idols or the mainstream bands did. While others are adoring, screaming for the kpop idols/mainstream bands, k-indie bands/artists are left behind. And the thought of sharing the same limelight as the kpop idols seems impossible. (well, that's just my personal opinion about it.) Normally, these bands/artists perform at various gigs in cafe, clubs and etc. So, today I'm gonna share with you some of my personal favorite.
1. Bye Bye Sea is 4-man-band consists of Namu (vocal & guitar), Daehyun (keyboard), Myungjae (bass) and Junhyuk (drums). This bands have similar looks with the glasses except for Namu who stands out from the rest with his poofy orange hair. They are currently signed under Fluxus Entertainment who produced talented artists such as Clazziquai, Winterplay and many more.
Nae Mami Mareul Hae
2. Hot Potato's Kim C (vocal) made himself known in a korean variety show with Kang Hodong entitled "2 Days 1 Night". I guess from there, people started to recognize him as an indie artist and what he does. His sudden leave from the show this year to continue his studies shocked me coz he's one of my favorite member. :( The song below got me hooked onto Hot Potato ever since.
Rain Tears
3. Dear Cloud is a bit different from the band I've mentioned above. The difference is the vocalist is actually a woman. Her name is Nine and together with her are Young Rin (guitar), Irang (bass), Jeong Ah (keyboard) and Kwang Seok (drum). Their music have the same feel and quality as their western/european counterparts. Have a listen. :D
